Most of the crime watches in our city have developed organically, without much guidance or training. Often the people who start them do not know where to begin. Many times leaders become frustrated when their neighbors don’t get involved or feel as passionately as they do. Because of this, CWEB has developed the Mentoring Program.
CWEB will assign a mentor to meet with you and discuss your situation. Your mentor will then take you through a comprehensive “needs assessment” to determine where you are. They will then help you develop a plan of action for your next steps. Once your organization is running, they will be available to you as needed for advise and coaching. If invited to do so, they will attend your meetings to provide feedback. Our goal with this program is to help develop better crime watch leaders throughout the city.
